Learning Highlights:
Number and letter recognition. Basic learning skills and social
interaction. Beginning Bible knowledge and Christ-like living model.
Social Highlights: Field trips to
San Francisco Symphony, Perry's Farm, Lucky Store tour, Alameda School
District Safety Town, walks to the Alameda Public Library with reading
buddies.

Curriculum
The Kindergarten curriculum includes
Bible, phonics, reading which includes social studies, science, Saxon
math, art, printing and field trips. The academic portion of the
program is covered in the morning. The afternoon program includes a
rest time and activities which further reinforce the things the students
learned in the morning.

Kindergarten teacher is
Mrs. Sarah Rowton, who
performs her tasks with knowledge, experience and great care for the
children. She meets the kids at their level. The children feel
successful and flourish in her class because Mrs. Rowton allows them
to grasp each new concept before moving on. She has been teaching in Alameda schools for over 20
years and has been at ACS since 2000.
